Where Do You Stand Now?

After today's announcement... Drop me from the 5 or 6 I was a few months ago to a 1 or 2. I've known about the Elio about 6 months and in that time the production schedule has slipped 6 months in two different slippages. Sorry, but I don't think that's an accident. I think they're having severe funding issues and don't want to fess up.

I still think it's an issue of not wanting to confess that they jumped the gun.

I can imagine a scenario where those in marketing and sales are constantly bickering with engineering and manufacturing about expected timelines and what to release to the public. It's a catch 22, if the more accurate far off build date estimates were published from engineering on day one, sales and marketing would not be able to build enthusiastic support early enough from the public needed to get the funding to get the manufacturing going, and then when external poop happens as it always does, timelines slip even further.

Take my confidence level down one since today I received the e-mail from Paul that said production now in 3rd quarter 2015. By the end of this year production will slip into 2016. Too bad they can't produce the vehicle as fast as the t-shirts they are selling.

Very nicely put Buckeyjacke! I enjoy spending some of my time following Elio Motors, and volunteering my time as a moderator on this forum, because I want to see this idea succeed however in the end no matter what happens all this is only a very small part of my life. The Elio will never be a big part of my life even when I have it sitting in my driveway and thats just fine with me as it is a great hobby.

I am at a 10 and haven't gone from that since I Paid $1000 on 6/9/2013.

I do really think this is going to fly. Perhaps slower than first thought.
Now Paul Elio says production should begin in FOURTH QUARTER of 2015.

I really wanted mine by my birthday on August 31 but it doesn't seem possible now.
