The ugh! for me is the fugly old man steering wheel which distracts from the clean retro look of the Elgin Instrument Cluster set into the new brushed metal dash panel. I'll probably do an aftermarket MOMO Steering Wheel as a compliment to the anticipated race car like interior of the P5.

Rickb, I hope you're getting the manual (stick) shift to compliment your aftermarket MOMO! MOMO and automatic shift just does not go together well! It's like an old man driving a 180+ mph Porsche automatic, it's just UGH! Lol. You want the look and effect of a racing car/trike, it needs to be stick shift and nothing else!:D

It's mounted under the steering wheel to protect your crotch. I mean, you can think without a brain -- people do it all the time -- but there are some activities where substitutes for the original equipment just don't cut it.
I'm old and both my crotch and brain require airbag protection. Frankly, my Elio will be 100% factory/original. Possibly custom two-tone paint.

However, I do appreciate options and realize that Individuals choosing their various options make the decision what cuts it.

The P5 will have a perfectly acceptable classic Elgin dash and modern day Camaro steering wheel unveiled for all to see tomorrow. The countdown continues.
