In the engine cell phone video many months ago, Commander Kody was asked how the elio engine would sound with straight pipes and he said "goofy".

I beg to differ. He works at IAV and is accustomed to working with car and truck engines which have 4,6, 8, or other cylinders. My world revolves around motorcycles and we have a lot of 2 cylinder bikes that sound just fantastic. This video sounds every bit as fantastic. The "motorcycle" world is about to have a new and distinctive member.

Seems what your hearing all comes out the open pipes, I haven't heard an engine from H D except for my V Rod w/ factory pipes, that lasted about 24 hours

It sounded a lot better when I played it through the a/v system over what came out of my pc speakers. I liked it

I agree, sounded pretty good. I heard it through a pair of Sony Earbuds. The laptop's speaker is a POS...and made it sound like a swarm of bees.

Was the unveiling just that short video with the inset of a guy watching a bunch of monitors? There are a lot of news releases and copies of those releases and that is all I have seen. Sorry to be out of touch if I missed something more in depth.
