All the supposed experts especially the media when Elio succeeds will be scrambling to go 180 of their previous opinions and acting as if they had always predicted the Elio success. Politicians and stock brokers are always playing that peanut under the shell game with the public. I always had that problem Crappie fishing. Every guy on the lake was saying, You should have been here yesterday. LOL

its easy to understand how folks reading such articles and hearing comments from naysayers can be a major downer for folks following EM's development .... when I hear comments directly from Paul and others within the company, its easy to believe they will .... the reality is, none of us outside of some key people with in EM know if they will be able to bring it into production or not .... while I can understand some folks becoming apprehensively anxious, I don't understand the ones who are coming unglued over it .... hopefully as we sit and watch, we can figure out how to enjoy the ride

In my opinion learning to enjoy the ride is the key to happiness in life. I keep these quotes posted in my home and office as a reminder to myself to make sure I am focused on enjoying my life.

"Many of us are constantly seeking happiness believing that happiness is something that we need to chase and catch. Yet only few of us have figured out true happiness is not a destination but the path we’re leading."

"Happiness is a journey, not a destination; happiness is to be found along the way not at the end of the road, for then the journey is over and it's too late. The time for happiness is today not tomorrow."

"Happiness happens at your least expected moment. So stop chasing it, enjoy every second of your life and you’ll feel it."

I think for some people they feel the period stated at the time of money down, predicated their decision. Even though they should have known/accepted the risk, they resent the current case, and they just can't let it go. They want as many people sitting in the same point of view as possible. Makes them feel right in exchange for being wronged, I guess.

Possibly, being a 'born again' dis'er is a kind of irrational tantrum hoping to own the very pitfall they are angry about(and in denial about). If the fail happens will they really feel good about having joined one of the self-righteous sides?

Of course then there are those who were never born again. They started out just wanting to inspire such a conundrum.

The coil over shocks were moved from the diagonal position outside of the body to a vertical position "inside" the body. Could this have been a mistake? Not if the only important thing is fuel economy. But is that the only thing that is important? Many people like how the elio looks and the external coil over shocks look so good. They would gladly give up a few mpg to have them. I am one of them, several of you are too, and several reporters at the NY auto show are also like that. Have you noticed how much attention was given to the sleek autos? External shock configuration like on the P3 would be appealing to many people and also attracted the attention of more reporters. MPG is great but not everything.

The P4 has a Pull Rod design suspension. it is leaps and bounds better than the coil over shock to the lower control arm for several reasons. The "scissor" lower assembly the bottom of the coil over mounts to allows the coil over to remain "stout", yet provides a much smoother ride. This same assembly distributes the weight applied to it, to both sides of the vehicle, therefore causing the 3 wheeler to be more stable, as well as "trim" side to side. The "force" while driving on the road is distributed to 4 stress points, istead of two. While cornering, the wheel itself is assisted to remain upright, instead of the top of it leaning outward from the turning angle. This helps a lot to keep good traction. (Tread on the road)
Plus, it is simply the coolest part of the riding suspension! IMO. Forumula one cars, road course cars, stock cars (depending on rules of course), all use it, as it distributes the stresses, is stable and much more forgiving of driver errors.
