I have no clue as to the issues you raised about the address and don't really see that there is a problem .... has anyone be harmed by sending something to the address given ? .... the mileage, cost, crash rating, are all projections .... we won't know how close they come to reaching the goals they set until the production models are tested .... I don't recall ever hearing that the P4 has abs and traction control .... if the production models that roll off the line don't have it, that would be a misrepresentation .... until that day, any claim otherwise would be unsubstantiated .... how is saying their goal is $6,400 and they are currently a few hundred off a lie ..... until a final sale price is set, we won't know if the meet, exceed, or fall short of their goal .... as to mileage, their website states : "While other vehicles make their competitive claims within a few MPGs of one another, we needed Elio to take it to the stratosphere. As we continue to engineer the Elio for up to 84 MPG, we officially have liftoff." ... here again, until they are produced and tested we won't know if they meet, exceed, or fall short of that goal ...sorry, its clear that you have issues with EM but I don't see anything that would back up your accusation .... every see an advertisement for a fast food cheeseburger and open the wrapper on one they give you at the counter .... from what I've seen EM comes closer than that

(RUCRAYZE vanishes in a puff of smoke)

Not likely in that his very name infers a kind of obnoxious attitude we all find too humorous to loose from around here. I keep razzing him to change it to IBEZECRAYZE OR IRCRAYSE OR PERHAPS YAZALLCRAYZE. But he keeps coming back. Sad that the spelling of God is all we're allowed to discuss here. RU, you asked earlier about my new avatar. I title it "move with passion" Please see attached. If you could put the largest amount of sail ever on a single masted sailboat and call it the most powerful single masted sailboat in the world you'd have the "J" class sailboat. The advent of WWII made this "J"class extincted in 1939 mainly just too exspensive. So Imagine my surprise when they reappeared in the early 2000s as the largest and fastest super sailing yachts in the world. If may sound silly but I intend to move with passion in my Elio too as the most efficient mode of transportation available. LOL . Go full screen if you want the full effect go full screen.

CompTrex now you know that being banned does happen if you don't agree with the brass.
goofyone, your whole statement is wrong and you know it. Even the moderators (posting false information) get the information wrong at times.
Even the few (pets I would say) get by with stuff that others can't. Some even have had their post removed for not staying on the topic. Well, if that was true now almost 50% of the post would have been deleted.
But when you own the playground you have the right to say who plays. Understood 100%.

I'm back, handle is a question, not accusation of your mental health- What we do have, however is the love of sailing. I Only family cruised on a Nonsuch 30 , but crewed on some others

Fair enough. If none of those things are a concern to you, I can understand why you cheerfully gave them the money, and expect that you would not be disappointed if any or all of the various marketing points failed to come to pass. Perhaps you can understand that others might be disappointed with later production dates, higher cost, less safety, missing features and fewer mpg's. Some might even feel that they were misled into spending their reservation money.

Just for grins, and since you asked for links, here is a copy of the website from a couple of years ago.

The wayback machine is pretty cool. You can see how the advertising wording has changed over time. There are a fair number of captures of the website available. I hope you enjoy.

thanks for the post, but it's probably me, but what exactly was claimed on the sheet that doesn't ring true today?

I don't know anyone who isn't disappointed to some degree with the production delays and I can understand how folks who have been around a long time could be more disappointed .... I do believe they are working to reach their stated goals and have to commend them for being willing to state that they are a bit short in some areas .... if they get their funding taken care of and go into production, at that point the world will know how the end product stacks up to the projections .... I can understand how different folks can have different reactions to whatever the numbers end up being .... I can see how advertising tends to change over time as more is learned along the way during the product development .... to me that is a reality and is nothing sinister

Okay, I'll play.

84mpg "It gets 84 miles to the gallon on the highway." No, it didn't. Not in the P2 (66mpg claimed), not in the P3 (never published), not in the P4 (proudly proclaimed that it was never tested), and not even in the computer simulations (81.4mpg per paul elio).

8-gallon tank - latest rumors are that the tank will be dropped to ~7 gallons.

Only $6,800 - paul elio recently stated that the $6800 (like the 84mpg) was a target, not an actual figure. He stated that the vehicle would be $7300 if produced today.

Safety. None of the elio's built so far have three airbags. None of them have an Anti-Lock Braking System.

American Jobs - 0 jobs, not 1,500 jobs were created at the Shreveport, LA plant beginning in the spring of 2014.

Eco-Friendly - see 84 mpg above.

Power in Numbers - not 1 liter, not 70HP, not DOHC, even in specs. Not fuel-injected on any elio built. Still no running engine of any specs.

Transmission mission - Implication (not claimed here) that automatic would be same cost as manual. No automatic transmission will be available, just an AMT (which means Automated Manual Transmission). Despite this the P4 has a 3-speed automatic transmission installed.

Fast Facts - no evidence of either the top speed on acceleration claims.

Big Brake - at least this one says "we will" rather that "is" or "gets". P4 has 14" wheels, not 15";

Heads up. Two re-designs of interior. P4 has problem with rear headroom.

Sounds of Silence - The prototypes are noisy. Some question as to whether they have fiberglass or composite bodies. No working radios in prototypes.

Obviously, some of those discrepancies are more significant than others. FWIW, almost the whole archive site is fully navigable.

I do now know that being banned happens. As to the reasons, I'm not sure, but am going to immediately stop posting to this thread. No good can come from the direction that it's taking.
