I went all in at $250 at the end of August and then just upgraded to $1000 today. At $250, I didn't want to risk any more if they couldn't put things together, but I started to think of all the money I lost in the stock market over the years and reconsidered putting more money down to get ahead in the line. Their 50% and 25% matching helped with the decision also.

Congratulations and welcome from Oregon, Phillip. You should get your production number the end of October. In the mean time, there is lots to read and share ideas on in this site. Still the vast majority of the people I mention to about the car have never heard of it. Wait till the word gets out. I never heard of it until the week before the September 1 cutoff. There was a small article in our local newspaper and I'm the only one of my group of friends (all car guys) who checked into Elio I liked what I saw, got my order in told my circle of friends and have 2 co-workers who have orders in. Have a lot of friends with a wait and see attitude

You are exactly correct that most people have not heard about this yet. I do however expect to see a lot more media attention paid to Elio Motors over the next six months as the vehicle development program really kicks into high gear starting out with the engine program, which I expect to hear something about within weeks, followed by the P5/E0 build then continuing on with the whole fleet of pre-production models hitting the roads and crash barriers. Plus, as announced this week, we should see the first signs of movement in the plant within a couple of weeks as well. Following along is about to get really exciting for all of us!

That would be a big plus. I have done my part to get the word out and put a picture of the ELIO in front of people. Most that know me are aware I am due for another motorcycle this year. I have posted the ELIO as my next one. Any computer I use I leave on a page with an Elio ad or the ELIO home page up.

after looking at the various production projection charts, I still am having trouble coming up with an educated guess as to how long it will take them to work their way through their current 34,000 reservations .... without additional reservations, if they are able to begin production in Sept 2015, would it be reasonable to believe that it would take until mid to late 2016 .... reason for asking, I have a friend who is very interested but for reasons of his own doesn't want to purchase prior to mid 2016 .... he asked me if I thought it would be wise to get on the $100 all in list now or wait a while .... I told him I didn't have a clue but would ask folks who are much better informed .... recommendations to pass on would be appreciated
