Bike racks belong on your SUV--not on the streamlined ELIO. (How about ski racks,or luggage carriors, wheel chair rack, etc., etc.,) What happened to common sense in this country???

Rear window pop-outs like on the VW (the original air cooled flat four)---they work just fine and do not require a lot of expensive hardware!!

What's wrong with a bike carrier? I guess it'd be better to drive 100mi @ 20mpg in an SUV vs ~60-65ish mpg in the Elio carrying bikes to a specific riding area? THAT is illogical.

They would also have to place the shifter on the left side in that case, since it appears they are currently mounted into the right door panel.

I saw a interview with Paul Elio. who explained the door being on the left.
as we in the U.S. are used to shifting with our right hands.

I had a Chevrolet Spark, no spare tire or runflats from factory. Why are so many people hung up on a spare tire? What do motorcycle riders do when they get a flat? Many cars do not come with a spare tire, just a flat tire kit.
