It depends on what portion of the plant is being shown at any time as some parts have indeed been cleaned up and are empty. Remember EM purchased all the equipment however they are only using about 1/3 of the plant floor space so 2/3 of the plant is now standing empty. Also a lot of equipment which was moved is now grouped together for refurbishment, storage and/or sale.

This part of the final assembly line is pretty much intact likely close to the way GM left it.

That date is consistent with Branden Carey's Tweets that Elio's timetable was pushed back 5 months due to not having access to plant until May 1 2014. I believe Commissioner Lynch filed her personal lawsuit against Caddo Parish Commission and Industrial Development Board in early September of 2013 but changed the suit to Caddo Parish in mid September 2013. That little fiasco clearly cost Elio Motors dearly in meeting a lot of other deadlines, how much resource must have gone into keeping the Shreveport deal moving forward, and Lord only knows if it chased any potential investors away. For the number of undeserving punches Elio has taken, they're doing alright in my book!

Had nothing to do with the engine unveiling.
The clip I referred to is totally separate. Run through the Engine clip then when that is over and a bunch of other clips are on screen, look in the lower right corner for the one I was talking about. It was something I hadn't noticed before 'cause like everyone else I was focusing on the engine.

That clip is also available on Elio's facebook page, and, I think their web site. It was when the tour was in LA. Back during Mardi Gras. Good to see it again. I would like to see it again with bodies on those assembly lines. Hopefully soon.

Every once in a while it is good to write down a list of accomplishments so you can see what you have done 'cause the longer the list of major accomplishments is the longer the list of goals will look. For example, build a new motor is an accomplishment. One of the new objectives may be design a new wiring harness. They are both items, but the one already accomplished is much more massive.

Absolutely, on the engine! Looks pretty much just like the plastic mock up, but runs! Happy guy here! Wiring harness...no problem.
