Well, I guess since neither Rick B nor cortsdad2 are stockholders they won't have the right to audit the books or look at the PERT charts or Gantt charts and will just skulk around enabling people like Past Fanatic while occasionally trying to make other people doubt.

Questioning does not mean against. I am currently questioning a lot of things in my life. After going back to work after retiring because I was not ready to quit. I am questioning if I should sign on for anther 2 or 5 years or just leave this year. Looking at moving some very good investments to a safer harbor.
All 3 children have brought up good arguments for different courses of action. Questioning is what leads to a good outcome, not drinking the tea repeating it will all work out some how .
I Question ELIO and it seems they must be doing so now also. They seem to be changing they way they set bold goals then back out. That is a sign someone else has a voice in the plan.

The big question is if you have been an Elio supporter for 6 years and have had a $1K non-refundale reservation for a couple of years would you still make the same $1K all-in reservation today based on EM's history of delays for whatever their reasoning knowing the fact that they are now working under a Caddo Parrish extension deadline and have no funding, but only a plan for funding options? The majority of new reservationists don't take the time to review EM's past history or even read the fine print on the non-refundable sales agreement. They need a mommy when it comes to finances.

Like many of us oldtimers, newbies stumble across the concept, like it, and immediately get caught up in the dream making a quick reservation without any serious thought that it may not happen. EM's clock is ticking with the Caddo Parrish plant extension deadline. Nothing wrong with making people aware of the situation in a respectful manner. In reality I hope, but doubt 2016 is even a realistic anticipted production date based on the amount of work that is still on the table with no immediate funds to move ahead. My doubt will fade if EM happens to lock in funding over the next 30 days.

If I didn't already have 2 reservations and were just coming across elio because of the engine I would most certainly go all in again.

if I wanted a lower production number than I would have if reservations were getting ready to close, after seeing/hearing the motor run I'd up ours to the $1,000 All In ..... we don't want a lower number so we will hold off until the closing date is announced and decide what to do based on the number of reservations at that time

Skulk? Doubt? Thanks! I mentioned my personal recent small amount of doubt based on EM's most recent delay and I've been following Elio's development since'08. My statements are not about making you or anybody else doubt, but rather having newbies think about plunking down $1K non-refundables without knowing EM's past history. It's certainly their choice to do whatever without a mommy. Perhaps a refundable show your support reservation is a wiser choice at this point in time.

Any comments I make on funding come directly from Paul Elio's statements taken from Caddo Parrish Commission Meeting Minutes.

Just recently Elio said they lack funding so one doesn't have to be a share holder. Frankly, I don't care where the funding comes from as long as they get it.

Just for the record, I had been researching Elio all over the internet for about six months when I decided to go all in at the maximum I could afford to lose on Feb 9.
The point being if you want to discuss financial issues with your family, it's probably a good thing to do, but if you were in the midst of sensitive financial negotiations and a non family member decided to make defamatory comments relating to your ability to perform without any factual basis to your financial institution you would be and should be annoyed.
The people I take shots at are the ones who have demonstrated a total lack of ability to look at multi-threaded projects and appear to insist that the project is done on a serial sequential basis. As Elio has just demonstrated, they are able to address vehicle body engineering while working on engine development, legal campaigning, equipment disposal, and production planning.
I may be wrong about some people, but when your background includes managing projects that directly impacted a $25 billion annual revenue stream you tend to look at parallel processing rather that sequential processing.

I have watch how marketing and ideas people have taken good companies in our industry and nearly run them into the ground and then seen Good operations Money people come in and turn them around . ELIO had been in a serious nose dive. It appears there maybe some new leadership involved. That is often a sign of some new money. All good signs that they are changing for the better. I hope so I will really like a second ELIO to go with #8019.

Funniest post of the day. You decided to go all in at the maximum you could AFFORD TO LOSE? You apparently had some doubt that Elio would reach production status. In the last 45 days I have garnered a small degree of doubt too, based on the announced delay due to lack of funding. We apparently have something in common as Future Elio Owners.

Elio talks about funding they have and then don't have. I make comments about those sensitive funding negotiations of late regarding EM's sudden need for additional funding based on the insensitive financial info they have provided. Is there some reason you are compelled to 'take shots' ay anybody while discussing issues? Agree or disagree, but don't take shots at forum members you don't even know. With that said I may personally like to take a verbal shot at a few antielio forum members.
