a good while back some projections were made but so far as I know they weren't written in stone .... as the process has evolved, some things projected may have to be dropped, some may need to be changed, some some may need to be added .... he knows this well but because his stated mission to point out the negative, he chooses not to recognize that things change .....

So you think it is OK for to Elio Motors to continue soliciting money for a proclaimed "first half of 2016" production date..... when they publicly have said they do NOT have the financial backing to do it?

that is a good example of the point I was trying to make ....EM has a target date of going into production in Mid 2016 .... they also have said that right now they are working to put greater funding in place .... both statements are true but when taken out of context and twisted to try and prove a point, they take on a different meaning ....

I appreciate people saying "beware". You should really know what you're getting into and know giving money to Elio is a gamble at this point. I don't appreciate people telling me or anyone else what decisions we should make based on your bias.

YES, "Deceptive practices", like placing "84 MPG, and $6,800" in their FaceBook banner and posted at all their Road Show locations...... and using "gets 84mpg in their press releases"..... when in fact they have never gotten 84 miles to the gallon, and they only say (in a pull down menu... just before you click 'BUY') do they say that $6,800 is just a 'goal' (that they have yet FAILED to reach) and they may NEVER even build a PRODUCTION vehicle. ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I rest my case .... even if stipulated that every point above is true, they add up to zero .... until the order for the first Elio is confirmed, none of us knows what the base price will be .... until confirmed by testing none of us knows what the mileage will end up being .... EM has stated that they are not to their goals yet, that they are close, and that they are still working toward them .... for anyone outside of EM to say that they know what the cost and mileage will be over a year from now is blatantly preposterous

Try reading the entire thing again.
I don't see anything inconsistent with that paper.

Let's compare creating the Elio with buying a new rifle and sighting it in.
First you decide what caliber you need.
Then you buy the gun.
Then you select the ammunition.
Then you mount the scope.
Then you bore sight it.
Then you get some targets and go to the range.
Then you trial fire at 25 yards. and make sure you are on the paper.
And you keep moving out and refining the aim 'till you're ready to go hunting.

And just as a reality check the last part of the paper said...................
...."All in a day’s work as Elio Motors strives to maintain its commitment to achieving its four key “must haves:”
- 84 MPG Highway
- Engineered for an anticipated 5-Star Crash Test Rating
- American Made
- $6800"...................

Strives ...... make great efforts to achieve or obtain something. ....... struggle or fight vigorously.

Sounds right to me!

Tech Talk v5 .... really, you had to go back to Tech Talk v5 to find something to get bent out of shape over .... the most recent that I've seen is Tech Talk v58 .... gee, I wonder if anything could have changed as lessons were learned and progress has been made .... personally, I'd worry much more about a company that is so rigid that it can't adapt with the passage of time, circumstances, and conditions on the ground
