So you think it is OK for to Elio Motors to continue soliciting money for a proclaimed "first half of 2016" production date..... when they publicly have said they do NOT have the financial backing to do it?

Sure I think it is okay. Anyone not mentally impaired should understand what a "projected" production date is. There is a great chance for failure in a venture like this, and even if there is future success, I'd be surprised if there were no road bumps along the way. But to imply Elio is shady and corrupt every time there is a setback is laughable to me and I can't take one thing you say serious.

Very SIMPLE.... to 'inform' NEW people of Elio Motor's 'deceptive practices' and 'unfulfilled promises'.... so that they are not 'suckered' into a Reservation, on a vehicle that Elio Motors will never be able to deliver! Definitely NOT in the time frame that Elio Motors is 'claiming'!

This is where your "message" is flawed. Elio has promised nothing. They have set deadlines and goals for themselves which have had to be pushed back. If you went into this blind and not understanding what the risks were, then I do feel bad for you.

Deceptive practices... you are assuming they can't hit their production date in 2016. There have been delays, sure. There could be another delay. But, to say they CAN'T hit that date is just weird. Elio could start producing next week if they really wanted... it'd probably be REALLY slow but they could still do it. To pretend that you are clairvoyant is just odd. Benefit of the doubters though. Why can they NOT produce the vehicle in 2016? No fair using pretend facts either. They don't have funds right now, true. But, I don't have food in my hand right now either. Will I not be able to eat? Ever?

I appreciate people saying "beware". You should really know what you're getting into and know giving money to Elio is a gamble at this point. I don't appreciate people telling me or anyone else what decisions we should make based on your bias.

I fail to see the deceptive practice? You bought a non-refundable ticket in a line to an event which may not take place. Oh, and got a "T" shirt to identify you as one who does not comprehend what you read. o_O Forget about the car, the engine, the number of reservations. It all comes down to the financing. When the funds are there, the car will be built. Quit buying tickets, this is not a lottery. 40,000 dummies are already in the line ahead of you. Why would you want to be #40,101? When the next $100M shows up, it will be time to buy another ticket and "T" shirt. Until then, do some homework BEFORE buying tickets.

NOPE, that it just the BRIGHT LIGHT at the 'beginning' of the tunnel. According to Elio Motors' own words, now they have to BUILD “18 to 26” E Series Pre-production vehicles, and an additional 17 to 25 more IAV engines to place in them so they can BEGIN their 'testing phase' and actual crash tests, in order to “finalize” their design. They also have to get the IAV engine EPA certified, and 'create' an Elio Engine Manufacturing Facility in the Shreveport Plant. After the design is “finalized” they can then begin to 're-tool' the factory and hire/train workers. No Worries, they have 14 months before the 'deadline'..... and plenty of money! OR, could that be the 'Light of Reality'?
