So again a missed dead line and missed mile stone and nothing but excuses. Company I work for fired high ranking executives, just for taking vacation.
Elio needs some real management.

Dear Randall,

We wanted to give you advance notification, prior to the media being advised, that we are rescheduling the date for the official engine unveiling originally scheduled for Feb. 6 due to several key stakeholders having immovable scheduling conflicts. We are currently working with the key partners and the facility to quickly confirm a new date and will advise you accordingly.

IAV stated that there was a conflict in the schedule at their facility. Is it easier to assume and look for fault or blame... or look for the cause and reason for understanding?o_O

This was not Elio caused.

Ok from what I have read one says conflict with stakeholders, the other puts the blame on IAV. So witch is it? Also why did this happen just before . Did they not know this last month,week? If not why not , again who the heck is running the this operation.
So who picked it won't start ? You won.
This was a very important step for ELIO to get right and to pull off on time. Someone should have been on top of it . You do not plan an event like this and then find out at the last minute there is a conflict. Not without some total incompetence involved.
Elio needed this to go right and it failed. Blame is for the minor league.

I heard that they were planning on starting the engine on the 9th. This has not been confirmed yet and I am working to find out the validity.

Something between time of the month and a typhoon. I am not at liberty to discuss the details beyond what I have done. Sorry about that. I'm more able to provide good information to this group if my sources don't dry up -- and if I abuse them, they will -- and with good reason. I trust my sources. You can try trusting me.

You and I both know a back up or contingency plan should have been prepared. Murphy's law always prevails.

If there is one engine, on one test stand, in the one facility, there isn't much options for a backup plan. It is in IAV's facitity and IAV's engine design. Their (IAV) schedule changed.

Maybe there was someone with more clout. I don't know. I have found that it is better to look for the cause rather than fault or throw blame. It has helped me from making apologies for rash deductions, assumptions or accusations.

I am still trying to confirm a possible date of the 9th for the start showing. I have confirmed that the engine has been running and that they are happy with the performance and the BHP is higher than they anticipated. This is all good news. So hang on Elio fans. It will happen.

Paul mentioned "you guys" in the Raw interview that Bert posted a little bit ago. I'm guessing G1's in that group also. If I am correct in my theory, and you earned their trust with "details" not readily available to the general public, then I'm with you 100% on your wishes to keep their trust.
