If there is one engine, on one test stand, in the one facility, there isn't much options for a backup plan. It is in IAV's facitity and IAV's engine design. Their (IAV) schedule changed.
Maybe there was someone with more clout. I don't know. I have found that it is better to look for the cause rather than fault or throw blame. It has helped me from making apologies for rash deductions, assumptions or accusations.

That squares with what I've been told. IAV's biggest customer is Mercedes. If they have an emergency, guess who else has one?

I believe this. A delay is the last thing they would want.Elio did not cause this delay. Period. You may not choose to believe it, but that is the case.
