Using the ignore button effectvely does the same. I use it to ignore those that only have negative posts and offer no solutions or options
I have never used this feature. Doesn't it make the posts choppy? So if you ignore me, I say something stupid, you won't see it, but if MrX responds won't you see that and be like,"Huh? What's got MrX all bent out of shape?"

I haven't used it either, rather have developed an internal one .... I check to see who wrote the post and based on their past writings, look at the first few words ... based on that, I either read on or move to the next post

A lot of this goes back to civility and is a micro-reflection on our society. I just don't understand how someone on a forum can badmouth someone else. They know nothing about that person. Politeness has just gone out the window in our anonymous environment. Most of the rude comments said on here would never be said face-to-face, so it shouldn't be said here.
How do you know they wouldn't say those things face to face, you know nothing about that person.
I'm kidding and agree with the gist of what you said. There are more inconsiderate people today. Also, many more considerate people as indicated by the interaction on this forum and by the many people I meet every day face to face. The inconsiderate bozos are just more irritatingly standout in the crowd.

It is important to keep in mind, all forums are just talk. Real opinions and resulting actions are elsewhere.

Still, where ever possible I like to see things pushed into this format, 1)Problem statement 2) Analysis 3)Positive suggested solutions.
Then the 'elsewhere activity' goes off to do it's own thing.

I do prefer that optimistic salesman ethic, problems are simply an opportunity defining the path to success. Sometimes the toughest problem is locating the key problem. Everything else is engineering, business dev, market management, fulfillment. ( the easy stuff )

Can't help it, remember Fraggle Rock? I'm not a fraggle, I'm a do'zer.

Does anyone else find it odd when an erstwhile Elio fan takes seeming glee in bad news? I like being right as much as the next fellow but I'd rather be wrong and have the Elio sooner. I am confident the Elio will be made of course but remain unconfident that we will not suffer at least one more delay. Getting funding has become A Big Deal, as many of us foresaw, and getting money is not something that Paul or his team have a great deal of control over. The Market will make many decisions. Paul and Co can burnish their deal but a deal it remains and deals get valued relative to other opportunities. Paul and Co may have to give up more now that they find themselves in a more precarious situation.

For me , the critical members provide a necessary balance . I don't think I could participate in a forum that was filled entirely of cheerleaders who choose to ignore every legitimate obstacle. I defend their right to be skeptical but draw the line at rude . Personal attacks on a message board is simply cowardly and in bad form . By and large , this is one of the most polite groups I've had the pleasure of joining. Don't change a thing .
