The robots in this case are things like Google, Yahoo, Bing (or is it Bling). Anyway, you get the idea. They are not the same as the Spammers we get some evenings who don't know how to write a sentence let alone a message.

To PM, click on the avatar of the person you want to PM and then select start new conversation. I hope this helps. :) Z

Thanks, Z. I knew someone would know the answer. And I saw the 'start conversation' thing but I was worried that I would inadvertently confound 'private' and 'public'. Usually when I PM someone it is to chide them over unseemly or rude behavior and naturally that is the sort of thing it is best to avoid airing in a public forum. I looked over the FAQs board and couldn't really figure this out on my own.

In spite of my huge out put of posts, I was a total beginner on March 1, 2014. I had to ask because I literally had no clue what I was doing. I'm glad I can be of help. I consider it a form of "paying it forward". :-) Z

Hey Craig, on a more serious note, you been around these parts for awhile. When you go the front page and look at who's hanging out on the boards, it says members, guests, and robots. DYK WTF a robot is? I wanted to PM one of the moderators but I can't even figure out how to do that. What a loser, eh?

I thought about this also. I have no clue how it works, but if Elio went public and sold a zellon shares of stock, instant money. I would buy some shares myself, I can tell you that. Since Paul is rich, he could buy a lot of the shares himself to try to keep control of the company.

If Paul tries to keep control buying shares, how will he make out if Ford wants to buy Elio and junk the whole thing.

He'll either say heck NO, or laugh all the way to the bank! My guess is he would say NO! It's hard to let your baby go, when you've put so much of yourself into it!

Ford, or insert name of carmaker here, isn't going to buy Elio just to kill it. They have stockholders to answer to, and that amounts to throwing money away.

EM could be a target for an automaker, but likely it would either suceed as another product in their line, or get "fixed" into something no one wants.

In addition to likely being fine engineer (I looked up his patent history and he has a fair few), Paul has played this one shrewdly so far. I'd wager good money that this is set up with enough poison pills to retain as much control as possible for the current investors (non-dilutable stock, different share class structures, possible loss of the factory lease, etc.).

They simply cannot yet be the target of a hostile acquisition unless one of the founders with a majority stake decides to sell out, and since we don't have a clue what the existing capitalization structure looks like, there's no way to even know if THAT is possible.

My wife is the wine drinker and she got me a wine making kit for Christmaso_O
I'll bet that's pay back for the back massager you bought her for her birthday. I've always been terrible about things like that. A bit of advice here; Don't ever buy your wife a heating pad for her birthday.
