Never buy your wife a purse ,wallet of fire arm you will get it wrong. Take her with you let her pick it out. Other gifts should never be things they need like frying pans ect. Some of the needed stuff is ok the first few years when you are broke but latter on that stuff is out.
You learn a thing or two after 38 years.

I thought about this also. I have no clue how it works, but if Elio went public and sold a zellon shares of stock, instant money. I would buy some shares myself, I can tell you that. Since Paul is rich, he could buy a lot of the shares himself to try to keep control of the company.

I know very little about big money, but what I understand Paul Elio doesn't want another investor having control of his (and ours) dream. As far as 'shares' go. I put down a tiny investment in the form of a deposit as most of you all did. All I will get is a vehicle of my dreams. I gave honestly and happily and ask for no control. So, my point is YES, we have stock in this venture, just not the 'big money' kind.

Well Quick NE, your gut is right on two counts. First, the Elio is a good bet to happen and your shares, like mine and those of others, will help turn that bet into a reality. Second, everything about this situation screams that Paul is indeed trying to retain as much control he can. And more power to him. An obvious idealist, he is much more likely to adhere to his own vision of the Elio, with all the promises made to his shareholders (us), than another leader or management team whose focus will much more likely be 'the bottom line'.
