Bet the price is as purty as vehicle is.
$19,888 Canadian makes it $15,000 US Dollars and is in my price range for an EV autocycle. That's without EV incentives.
Not bad. Will have to check the specs again to see if it fits my commuting needs.
At a price of $19,888, it delivers the most fun, prestige and convenience imaginable. It has an 140 km top speed, with a 140 k range, and takes only 1 hour for a 25% charge.
Price is in acceptable range.
Top speed is a bit low for the HOT lanes around here. At 80mph I bet the range diminishes quickly.
Range would be tight for me.
Maybe they'll improve them a bit over time.

140K = 86 miles .... so long as you only need to travel 43 miles or less one way, it might be OK for getting around town or in a retirement community .... as noted repeatedly, the technology simply isn't there for most applications
It works for 80% of my daily driving needs as an and vehicle. The Elio for 10% and my SUV for 10% (Road Trips).
A 40 mile range does meet the needs for the average daily commute for most workers. Even when I worked full time my daily round trip commute was under 40 miles. Definitely not workable as an only vehicle. The Elio works perfectly in that regard for a single person or family of 2.
based on having owned an EV, I tend to believe the 40 mile (one way) number would be a best case scenario .... as has been acknowledged, speed, type of driving (city/country), needing heat or AC, headwind/tailwind, lights (LED's do help in this area), battery condition, and a host of other factors would impact the MPC (miles per charge) .... EV and Elios are most certainly niche vehicles that perfectly suit some and are totally impractical for others
The technology is changing with more affordable and swappable battery packs.....40, 80, 120 mile range and quick charging, but still has to meet the individual drivers needs.
