I don't think the big boys want to get into the motorcycle business except for possibly Toyota with the iRoad EV an Auto Scooter for urban commuters. It's currently being tested in ride share programs. It's a tilting three wheeler with rear wheel steer.

what's that 4?3? wheel white unit on the end?
It's the other EV called the COM Toyota is trialing along with the iRoad in their last mile car share project In Grenoble and Tokyo. Interesting concept for high population urban environments. I will buy the iRoad if it makes it to production.

Thanks for that vid. I have been following the iRoad nearly as long as the Elio. It's top speed is regulated to only 40 mph max, but everybody that test drives it says it an absolute blast to drive. More of an autoscooter than an autocycle, but ithe production model may have slightly larger in hub motors. I'd drive it around for in town errands and drive the Elio on out of town trips.

BTY there was a great (old) movie with human robots (humanoids?) -Westworld (read Disneyland), w/ Yul Brynner ,in which they get out of control. Starred Yul Brynner, and I think I saw a clip of a new show that reminded me of it

Hey Rick,
The iRoad's top speed is 40km per hour, not 40mph. Toyota lists is as 28mph.
The range is 30 miles with a charge time of 3 hours via a 110v household outlet.
It has no real-world use for me with the speed limitation.

Edit: I've seen a review that listed the top speeds @ 28mph in Europe and 37mph in Japan.
