To that I say, what is your position on people doing recreational activities that break arms, legs, knees, cause concussions, etc. that leave them on disability and require medical assistance for the rest of their life? Add to this that many parents actively push their children into this lifetime of destruction and maiming activity. I know far more people with busted up bodies from sports activities than motorcyclists injured while riding.

I do wear a helmet but I'm glad it is by choice. I only wish that those that want to take away my right to do things look in their own backyard before they start judging and wanting to penalize me for the activities I choose to do.
One thing is certain, government can pass all the laws and regulations but they still can't fix STUPID.

Will the Elio have a black box data recorder? :)

Anyone have link for a list of vehicles that do have the data recorders? For example, my 2004 Dodge Caravan?

I'm only concerned about people involved in extreme sports if they are doing them in the street on a registered and licensed motor vehicle where it can involve me personally and directly if we are accidentally involved in a fatal traffic fatality. I would prefer MC helmets to be as mandatory as seatbelts only because if I collide with a MC and serious injury or death could have been prevented by wearing safety gear I wouldn't have to face the surviving parent and children

I also hope that people involved in extreme sports or sports in general wear the appropriate safety gear when participating. Is a football helmet mandatory?
