I just called you out on attempting to put a turn-about spin on my reasoning in the last exchange and you just did it again!

You basically didn't discuss my last response and did the equivalent of saying, "Na,na,na,na,na, I'm picking up my toys and going home!"
Stay on subject if you want to discuss the issue and stop (second time) doing this... "You just want to make me change my mind about liking the dash. You're just a (what did you call me?) a malcontent, so if you feel that strongly then PROVE it." thing.

I ain't provin' nuttin' honey. I put it all together for you in the last 20 or so exchanges. If you can't crank it back far enough to read my reasonable solution/compromise, that's on you. If you want to resort to "no you are!" exchanges, I'll make this my last direct response to you. You won't have to worry about a direct "What's up doc?" if you do just give up and choose not to chase what you can't catch.

Truely guy, I did appreciate you posting the alternate dash.

(Last time that happened to me was over 50 years ago
I told you if you feel that strongly about the issue you should send a certified letter to EM and share it, along with a scanned copy of the receipt from EM.
I really don't care whether you do or not.
What you called a reasonable solution amounts to nothing more than 'I don't like the Elgin and want something different'.
Of course the one you suggested (VHX1017) amounts to a complete redesign of the dashboard.
Pretty but it doesn't fit the basic design. Depending on the space available, VHX1018 might fit better or VHX1023.

I dont see why some people cant understand that the entire membership of this board, and especially the active members of the board, are such a small sample of people that their opinion is almost completely irrelevant when deciding what the market "wants"...... Its not difficult. I am absolutely sure that Elio Motors asked themselves this exact same question long before we heard of an Elgin Dash.

direct, take it or leave it, responses from EM on Facebook clearly indicate that they believe a person not liking the Elgin will not keep enough folks from buying their product to make any significant difference in sales .... on that point, I tend to believe they are correct .... per Paul, it is his tribute to his father and there will be no approved option offered by his company .... therefore, folks who choose to order an Elio will get one with an Elgin dash, PERIOD .... for me, that pretty much ended the discussion and changed the focus to looking for an aftermarket replacement

I am one of those who hate the Elgin dash and it seems to me that Elio is missing a great opportunity to increase their profit margin by at least offering a dash option. I would certainly pay for that option.
