unless the pooch is sitting on it, getting the battery out of an E will not be part of the risk of the crime- even with a (beautiful) dog (oxymoron ?) sitting in it

years ago when gas went over a dollar a gallon, reports of folks stealing gas by siphoning it out of parked cars fed my paranoia .... at the time we had 4 vehicles and each of our 3 children had one as well .... I custom ordered 7 gas caps that all used the same key ..... over time dollar a gallon gas has come to be a pleasant memory .... until a few weeks ago gas was much more expensive but my fears of folks stealing gas never materialized .... our daughter still has hers but the others are long gone and seldom thought about
