as already noted in this thread and in many others before it, you will find a good number of folks who agree .... unfortunately, our forum and and other sites that setup for folks who are interested in EM, have been through the tirades of former members who strongly feel differently .... Paul may not fully reach all of his must haves and if he doesn't, the blow-back will resume .... personally, I prefer the P3 fenders .... personally, I want nothing to do with the Elgin .... personally I prefer the fuel port being on the left .... to help reach his mileage standard, the P4 fenders will be standard ....to help with his base price goal, the fuel port will be on the right .... on Facebook we were told that if we want an Elio, we had to take the Elgin .... the bottom line is, its pretty much take it or leave it .... I can understand him not changing his plans to suit my wants .... we plan to buy an Elio, to modify what we can and live with the rest
You speak truth, however repellant it may be!

I am betting that if PE gets the ELIO into production and it misses the 84MPG by a little and that $6,800 turns out to be a guess that was off a bit.
Many of us won't care as it get built. I don't care where the fuel door is. One of my cars right one left the bikes in the middle. The Elgin sucks but if ELIO sells in large number they will be drop in after markets.

The bars with green tape appear to be temporary braces to hold parts in place until welded.

Below is the You Tube computer simulation. Check out the very first picture before crashing and the parts of the video and the above pictures can be seen.

Can someone capture a still picture of the beginning of the video (I tried but no luck) and post it on the same page as the above photograph? The components can then be easily compared.

Notice the table on which this is being built. This is no second rate shop.

Thank you to Silas for posting on EMOA!
Not entirely sure about the P5, I found these similar images on another forum dated from 2013.. posted by ElioJay LINK

Also notice no tooling jigs or anything like that, which is part of the intension at this time.

But yes, the front pillar is definately different, so I'll take your word for it.

So looking at the discussion, you know there are plenty of people thinking the Elio is a good price to pay for a base donar car for thier custom reverse trike project. I know this because I'm one of them. But it is a good canvase for many ideas.

About the new suspension panel. I did suggest to Paul himself a while back, that a flexible panel might be a good idea to get the MPG up. He said at that time that the cost would be prohibative. And I suggested as an option for those willing to get that extra efficency. Did I seed the pot? They probably had this idea on the tabel already.
