The Skyz system can monitor all the systems in the car without a monthly service charge; but you want the "internet enabled" features like remote door lock from your cell phone, the navigation system, open the garage door from the Elio, etc. you pay the monthly service fee. It's kind of like OnStar or U-Connect. Home much is that service? Unknown until it's up and running.
I'm thinking very seriously about the Navdy system.

I thought the A-arms were going to be cast? Isn't that what they have on the P4?
I don't know if stamped would be rigid enough for front suspension.

THAT DEPENDS ON THE MATERIAL , THICKNESS & HEIGHT OF THE STAMPINGS .
TRUCK FRAMES ARE STAMPED AREN'T THEY ?
Good question, so I went and looked it up. They are high carbon steel or aircraft grade aluminum that are shaped by rolling or bending (stamping)
Here's the link to the info Frames
I know Chevy was using hydro-forming for a long time.
Also don't ever heat a truck frame, it can weaken it; high carbon steel can be a real bear at times. I know it's difficult to drill through.
What I don't recall is anyone making suspension parts out of the same material.

What's the difference between P4 headlights and P5/E headlights?

first picture shows P3 headlights

second picture shows P4 headlights

third picture shows drawing of P5 headlights ,,,, the P5 may or may not look like the P4

Someone asked earlier, but I don't think it was ever answered; if the majority of parts are "off the shelf" what car are those headlights out of?

Goodness, this is one of those picky-picky issues, I apologize for saying. The covers are Elio specific, to match the body design. This would be expected, as duh, the Elio body is not off the shelf. But the headlight assembly itself with those bullit lamps are existng parts.
So yes, the covers are part of the 10% as is the rest of the exterior surfaces. I don't know why this should be surprising.
Why Elio motors says 90%, this is not by volume. It's either by count or by cost, one of those I would guess. This number is actually about the domestic vs import, not about off the shelf ratio.
It's kind of a mind-shell game to suddenly apply that to off-the-shelf, when it actually belonged to the import issue.

The bottom 2 or the bottom right of the top 10 Designs look close to the P5's Design. Probably all made by the same manufacturer...........one of EM's parts supplying partners.

Ahh yes, I know that game quite well; it was played so often with the 72% to make a car domestic or import.
