Look at all of the space between the rear wheel and the parcel shelf in the "crash" drawing.
I wonder why they left that much room; can't be travel space for the rear wheel, the frame would bottom out before the wheel hit the shelf.
Looks like it can be lowered a few inches; hmmm new secret secure space to hide things in.
Or the drawing is not that accurate. (More than likely)
I noticed that too. I find it hard to believe the rear wheel is going to travel that much.

Is 5-star considering running into a wall at 150 per? I'd hope NASCAR was beyond 5-star!
Way beyond 5 star. The narrow 2 seater Tango Commuter EV has a NASCAR engineered rollcage and top speed of 150+ mph.

There is something about short wheelbase narrow that would just make me walk right past wanting a Tango.
Short wheelbase vehicles are inherently "twitchy" at highway speeds; I know, I drive a Dodge Nitro and it's 108" and it just takes full attention and little adjustments any time I'm doing the freeway compared to the Magnum I had with a 120" wheelbase.
Now toss in narrow on top of that and it would be fine for a "good" driver.
Biggest problem we have in the US is most people are not "good" drivers and they follow the rules of distraction more than they follow the rules of the road.

I'd love to do a test drive to test your theory. I like the Tango's high performance/safety specs and it makes me smile. I'd buy one if they got it in that $10-12K price range. Style wise it didn't gain wide acceptance because of the assumptions people make about it, including me the first time I saw it, like poor handling and it will tip or blow over. Drive it and I bet most would like it.

With that said, I want to test drive the P5 too!

I don't know if you've every driven a Jeep at freeway speeds, it's about the same thing; just an inherent problem with a short wheelbase.
After a long drive you get out and you're just beat, both physically and mentally (long drive = 400 to 500 miles in one session).
I've had both short and long wheelbase cars; the short is great in city, you can get in and out of some really tight places.
But long distance, a long wheelbase is the way to go.

So I can see where the Tango would be a great inner city vehicle; but not something I would do an interstate trip in.
