Now using a color that matches or compliments the car color is innovative. The wheel cover lights are under consideration; the question is whether they'll be standard or an option. (The standard in that case would be reflective tape). Either way, EM is aware that the full width of the wheels is NOT visible from the rear at night, and safety demands some sort of marking.
Here's a thought on an option.
A sun visor type unit for the passenger which includes a lighted mirror.
I don't care, but a wife or girl friend might want one in back.
Mount the mirror in the back of the seat.
Maybe mimicking the Aptera might not be the best strategy for Elio...I'd like to see offered as an option color-matched aero covers for the suspension bits, similar to the ones on the Aptera.

And some lights for the front and rear of the wheel covers, while we're at it.

wandering slightly from the KISS principle, mount a tablet in the back of the driver seat. The tablet camera could allow it to be a mirror but being a tablet the back seat passenger could also use it for entertainment, as a display for a forward looking camera, or even as a means of improving communication to the driver through a skype type app.
We went from about $20 - $25 for simple fold up visor.
To $50 - $100 for modifying a seat and stocking two of each.
To $300 - $400 for installing a tablet and two seat versions.
I'm not saying my idea was the greatest, but that simple progression (above) was why my F150 cost me over $45K in 2011.
