WOW. All these fantastic machines! It's things like this that set my imagination ablaze. Perhaps, coming into the 2020's, we can bring back this level of elegence to our machines? And perhaps the Elio is a good place to start :D
Functional and elegant styling never goes out of style.......it becomes classic. Hopefully, we can bring back the same level of elegance to our music. I have a classic music collection and only wish I had a classic car collection. I'm afraid those are bygone days.

Is the Elio's styling destined to become a future classic? I hope you get the chance to find out.

And most happened before you were born.
Before Detroit decided it was cool to copy what many of us old folks referred to as Jap crap.
(note: not a racial slur.)
Have you noticed how many cars bring Darth Vader's helmet to mind when you look at the front end?
You used to be able to identify make/model from a quarter mile.
Now you have to look at the badge.
Sad commentary on state of car design.

I agree. Old days car designers were concerned about individual style to stand out from the pack. These days car designers put their concept designs through the same wind tunnel to guarantee a slippery high mpg vehicle and they all end up looking similar.

Agree completely! It's sad.

Makes the current Buick commercials seem sort of off-base when you think about it, eh?

"That's not a Buick!"

"Well if it's not, WHAT the HECK is it?"

lol

More likely, in 20 years we'll see an ad and say "I didn't know they were still making cars you have to drive yourself."
Or, even more likely, "What? A car that isn't all-electric?"

But I'll never know, because I'd be 90, and that's just not on my genetic map.

I'm planning on replacing my Elio with a three wheeled wheelchair.
