I am a little behind. Slow me just listened to the NY Auto Show speech for the 3rd time and realized we reservationists are suppose to start picking our options in 1 month. This will determine what people are interested in and ultimately what options will be available when we make our final decision. Of course to do this, we will have to know the price.

What is important to people is the final total price of the vehicle which means they must know not only the price of the options, but also the base price of the vehicle. Does this indicate the final price of the base vehicle to we reservationist is going to be $6,800 as planned by EM all along? It does not have to be, but it would make us unhappy if it was raised at the last minute and EM is probably counting on us to go good advertising for them during the early days.

He quoted the 51,000 number. (I feel important.)

I remember EM saying the reservationists would help in determining the outcome of the design. This was said years ago, so this was planned a long time ago.

When this email goes out to the 51,000 reservationists in one month, I wonder if this will excite people and there will be a lot of people coming back to this forum.

In Paul Elio's speech at the NY Auto Show, he said they had displays of the good, better, and best MTX audio systems available as options. I hope someone takes pictures of these and posts them.

Good eye, Pistonboy! I attempted to pull an image from the video, and it indeed looks like there's an enclosure around the "stock" suspension opening. Very hard to see in the pic I posted, but it you full-screen the video and pause it in the right position you can see it. You'd have to disconnect the top A-arm to install something like that, but it might be worth it, aesthetically and aerodynamically. I LIKE IT!

Thanks for the picture. I forgot about it. Yes, it does show the enclosure and it being open at the bottom and having larger holes for the upper A-arm. Installing this should be interesting! This is suppose to be what the options will be based upon as coming out next month. I get the impression this body piece will exist in the final product.

Just the cheap ones (aka Chinese knock offs)

Although, most of them are Chinese made, to the point where I would bet money that ALL of them are. The problem isn't the country of origin, it is the low-quality Chinese factories who exist solely to copy the work of the high-quality Chinese factories.

No ICE tea in TX? Shame.
Believe me there IS iced tea in Texas. We have some good friends that came here from Wisconsin. It's still difficult to explain to the Lady how much ice goes into a glass of iced tea. I finally found a way to explain it to her. "If the ice is floating, there is not enough!"
