Didn't realize what old was about 'till I went in for a spinal fusion and came out with a pacemaker installed.
The cute little girl who ran diagnostics on it last week told me that it's only active 4% of the time and the battery is good for at least 5 more years. The good part is 96% of the time it does nothing. The bad part is that other 4% of the time the Grim Reaper is knocking. Maybe that's why I not a big battery fan. Every 8 or 9 years they have to cut open my chest, dig the old unit out and put a new one in. Not fun at all.
There has to be a better way using induction.

Ouch. Hopefully they are better at it each time, and/or your unit installed is less intrusive. Maybe it will be an out-patient procedure one day.

My grandson, 12, just diagnosed with bone marrow cancer. So, I get it.

Maybe that is where Roush comes in to finalize those unresolved design and engineering issues.
That's a good point. The Elio Concept is a rather simple vehicle. Vehicle design and engineering specifications can be done using CAD design and engineering software down to the nuts and bolts. EM engineers have been working on this a long time and haven't built a final prototype on which to base E series builds for testing. Perhaps Roush will be the partner that was needed to finally reach that important production milestone and are working on it as we speak. I was hoping Roush would kick it up a notch to expedite build both the design freeze prototype and the E builds needed for testing. Go Roush!

Just got the Momentum v47 email. It says the majority of the body panels will be fiberglass... No mention of the SMC panels.

I wonder how real world a CAD design can be? It might look good or work well on a computer but until they build it and test it there may be some issues that Roush can improve upon.
