I have two vehicles. I split my keys up and put the key for car 1 with the fob for car 2 and vice versa. This way, if I lock the keys in, I can get them using the fob... because it was on the other key set.

House keys are rarely used...All of my cars' keys are all separate. I hate carrying keys. I used to have 10 keys on a key ring and one day I sat down and see which keys i use on a daily basis... Well I ended up with 3 keys. Pants pocket happier.
I've modified it to use two keys on my primary ring. Auto and Mower. All the rest are on a secondary ring including my mail box key so I don't have to shut down the engine to open my mail box. Primary right, secondary left. All of my cars' keys are all separate. I hate carrying keys. I used to have 10 keys on a key ring and one day I sat down and see which keys i use on a daily basis... I don't even have key for house; everything is code or fingerprint.I carry only 2 keys...car & house
That works for me too. I have 5 grandkids in the house and 5 adults(including me and grandma). Everyone would expect me to provide keys and replacements, and then I worry about keys getting taken by child-friends and less than friends. Finger print was the only thing that made sense.I don't even have key for house; everything is code or fingerprint.
Would love to have the same in the car.
Alas, my fingerprints have worn down to the point where the can't be read by a scanner. That works for me too. I have 5 grandkids in the house and 5 adults(including me and grandma).
