Only so many people are going to throw down on a car that is not built, that has financial problems and issues. Even fewer are going to thrown down $1000. We maybe hitting a peak until some really good news comes from a source outside ELIO.
Not waiting on #8019 bought a new car beginning of winter, ordering new bike in August. Saving a parking space for the ELIO.

6 months from now ELIO makes public Statement A group Named xyz has stepped up and will fund ELIO with 250 million dollars to be release as each stage of preproduction is met.
The day that happens watch the All in jump along with all other groups. Until then I am afraid we are at a peek.

& Elio would be off to the races. What is perplexing is not one has expressed any
interest publicly or offered to partner with any of Elio's principals. The Elio project
is a no-brainer on a variety of levels but must present too much risk for the serious
money to jump in at this point.........Though most of these Billionaires aren't risk
averse, so what gives?

Why do you assume no one has offered? Paul Elio may just not want to give away his company or a big chunk of it. If I were Paul, I'd wait to see if the loan comes through. If the loan comes through (I know, loan guarantee), Paul gets to maintain 100% control of his company and can eventually go public with it. If he accepts "Bob's" offer now, he loses a HUGE potential chunk of money down the road... plus, potentially, control of the company. Then where would our beloved Lord Elgin dash be?

but as we've learned more background info over time I don't think Paul has
complete control (over the Dash, maybe) but there are some people in the
background that would welcome some relief, or a hedge against their risk,
if for no other reason than fines are coming due in the not too distant future,
etc.,etc. I will be very happy to see & hear more engine, if nothing more, in
the near term...........

I'm with you on the engine. I hope IAV finishes the tuning and torturing they are doing pretty soon so Elio can go and have some of the final versions cast. They should be either working on the next prototype or finalizing the design. Then, we may see an engine in a prototype finally.

We were told it would take 6 months to test the engine,, but we weren't told if they would be consecutive months.
I beginning to think it might be a month every now and then. You know, when ever they can spare the time.

Six months would put it at the end of May if it hit the test stand in November.

As of now one big problem, no money to pay for any of this. ELIO is in a holding pattern looking for cash.
