Since they're offering reservations up to the first year's production max, I'd guess year 2. They'll need increased production to stay afloat for the first few years.

Is there a reason a Canadian can't reserve one? Might be a PIA to import, but any other reason?

Not true, Reservations end at 40,000 is what I was told in OKC. Production at 250/day would be 65,000.

Much less red tape involved to import a motorcycle than a car.

Elio will be fun vehicle that is for sure.

Yep, It's not high performance, but because of it's narrow cabin will be hoot to drive and plenty fast for me.......on three wheels.

Especially if you push it hard enough in the turns to get it onto 2 wheels! Hopefully that can't happen??

I wouldn't be surprised if the first model year was less than a full year worth of production.
