But the serviceable items for them are available in the USA, and there are a few million of them around the rest of the World, as close as Mexico :-)

All modern engines go 200,000 to 300,000 miles, some more.

My personal pick- Subaru's 2.0 liter turbo boxer WRX- it just picked up it's second consecutive Wards 10 Best engine award. For 3 reasons:
1. Acceleration is smoother in the boxer.
(V type engines which most automakers use, reciprocate the piston in the vertical direction, whereas in the horizontally opposed engine reciprocating pistons reciprocate horizontally. Because they cancel each other's power, there is less vibration and you can feel the smooth acceleration.)
2. It lowers the vehicle’s center of gravity.
3. Reduced damage during a collision.

Please consider a fast & furious electric model for the urban commuter demographic. Design and engineer the two drive train options in tandem to save on FMVSS certification time. It might attract a wider pool of potential investors when it comes time to raise required capital to move beyond the prototyping stage of R&D. The quiet, instant torque EV is just plain a blast to drive. The & vehicle to the long range family primary ICE or EV.

yes, well aware of what an EV drives like. I just bought my 6th EV last month, a Skywell ET5, that already has 4,500kms on it. I currently own 3 EVs, my 2016 Tesla S has 120,000kms, my Geely Emgrand has 70,000kms, and bought my first EV in 2014. Reason is simple, I am mildly involved in the EV industry, and have access to OEM R&D for EV development. My Skywell and Geely are part time driving demonstrators.

IF stage 1 of this project runs well, EG: ICE version, I have every intention of doing an EV version. EV is quite costly to develop out of the blocks, so it's 2nd in line, but the ICE has to prove itself first.

It might attract a wider pool of potential investors when it comes time to raise required capital to move beyond the prototyping stage of R&D.

I have my own pool of resources, thanks.

And I'm not fond of investors, they tend to want to share in the profits, I mean, how rude can you be!
