yea, I tend to keep a low profile,as you know I'm 3 miles to downtown (15 min bus) and one of my kids on Capitol hill ,
my oldest is in green Lake 30 min walk!! If you don't use public transportation living this close to downtown, you deserve the traffic!! BTW although bus fare is about 2.75 each way, as a senior $1.00- go Huskies ( 1 mile-lol)

Yup, Seattle has a great public transportation system, if you don't mind riding a bus. They have fought off trains and monorails for the last who knows how many years. They had a great monorail line figured out to go from downtown to West Seattle. They did a vote on it 4 times and it passed all 4 times, so they changed the wording around one more time, added some other items they knew people wouldn't pass and finally go a no vote. By that point they had already started building it, so the program was shut down, and everything sold off for pennies on the dollar.

Here is a good on for the lawyers...
In other states where it is ruled a regular drivers license is good for the Autocycle. Reading this exception, It should mean they do not need one in Tennessee ?
A nonresident who is at least twenty-one (21) years of age and who has in immediate possession a valid license equivalent to a Tennessee class license issued to the person in the person's home state or country may operate a motor vehicle of a comparable class in this state;

Public transportation..........the ultimate 'and' vehicles. We have commuter vans that shuttle people from city to city. It would be interesting if there was a fleet of Elio's to rent at the drop off that would get commuters to their last mile destinations.

All they would have to do is talk Hertz, Enterprise or National into buying a fleet of them and set up a kiosk at the bus station.

good news,
my question ;
I have another question about seeing this statement in the handbook .
A nonresident who is at least twenty-one (21) years of age and who has in immediate possession a valid license equivalent to a Tennessee class license issued to the person in the person's home state or country may operate a motor vehicle of a comparable class in this state;
I think it means, if another state does not require a class M endorsement for the Autocycle , Tennessee will honor that when they are visiting the state ?
I have several out of state friends that want to bring their autocycle to the Dragon. Once the Elio is in production next year.

his reply ;
This is basically a statement of reciprocity so yes Tennessee will abide by the licensing of the home state and the Eilo operator would be good to go with the license issued in their home state.

I mentioned the idea to EM of partnering with Enterprise to lease Elio Store space. The last mile rental idea fits perfectly to that partnership model. A win, win, win for EM, Enterprise (or like rental Company), and more importantly for the customers with the fast roll out access to Elio Stores in hometowns across the USA with the added bonus of worldwide distribution.
