Agreed; 500 a day with one shift, 1,000 a day with two; but that was at peak and perfect ideal conditions.
I think it will be more like 400 per shift, per day; so 800 to 850 average per day with two shifts.
This isn't written in stone; but I recall EM saying that in one of the video's.

Are thr sales stores going to have their own demo cars or are they going to use our elios to give test drives?

It would be disastrous for them to not have both models at each store.

At one time it was reported that each store would have three (3) vehicles.
One manual and one automatic for test drives.
One fully dressed out in the show room.
That was a forward looking statement and therefore subject to change.

Yes. They'll have at least one of each transmission. They said at one time they'll have one decked out in the store as well. Obviously, for the first year, they may not be able to stock each store with three Elios as they'll be busy making ours. I mean, a spot in line doesn't mean a spot at some point after we build a few more for stores... Though they would be able to stock all the stores with a single day's production and it probably wouldn't hurt working out the bugs a little more...
