One thing I could really use, a photo taken looking straight down over the nose, to include part of the hood(perfectly centered and perfectly vertical as can be done by hand). Held high as possible is best. OR if there is one in the display images that will do.
I make the 'Fan Created' 3d graphic model's of the Elio (Link) and I need a vertical profile (shadow view) of the front end to make an accurate P5.
So if someone could capture that, it would be greatly appreciated.

Another member came up with a question for you to ask; to be honest, I don't remember anyone asking about this before, so the answer will be a first.

"Will Elios have a keyed ignition or the new style key fob for the ignition (the push button start)"?
I thought when the discussion that electric windows were a cost/weight saving choice, they are opting for electric windows. At that time the "thoughts of the day" suggested that yes keyless, and yes inside lever for trunk opening

Paul Elio of EM and his advisers MAY have been over their heads taking on the magnitude of this project and as much as I want to applaud them for raising our interest for this new form of transportation for the "masses", promoting everywhere in their ads a "targeted" $6,800.00 way too soon before "actual" construction of the prototypes (please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) maybe their Achilles heel right now. It's a mountain to climb no doubt but it's achievable given the amount of funding needed to see it through. Just my opinion.
I have to say something about this. One of the factors was what production rate would be set into. At the full 240k/yr rate it was much easier to achieve that $6800 price tag. If Elio has full confidence to ramp up, it's easier. If they have any insecurity about it, then maybe back to the $7300. And $7600 if even lower rates are required. I don't think there is any chance at all the full rate will need to be undercut.
Frankly, I don't see a $7300 price tag as any kind of significant failure. But keep those reservations rolling in!

I couldn't agree more w/you! And I'm more than willing to pay that price just to see it finalized and in my driveway!

It may be open at that time, but I doubt if anything will be moving in; it's more of a come in, look at where things are, if you need anything more in your display area tell them and they'll work on getting it in (like more electrical drops, etc.) and then starts all the "Talking time".
The marketing and upper powers talk, listen, network and so on while all of the grunts are working they're butts off getting displays set up.

I believe that P E was defining the vehicle by factors including price. I would suggest to keep "his word", that the reservationists would be offered the $6800, AND the incentives - consider it a lost leader, anyone buying in after would not need a number (just an order number no need forSIL), no incentive AND raise the price at that time. His commitment should be honored for us folks who brilliently got in -under that wire.

I thought that we all read the reservation agreement, and agreed that Elio made NO PROMISES. The production date was not a promise. The price was not a promise. The safety was not a promise. The jobs were not a promise. The percentage of American content was not a promise. The fuel economy was not a promise. It will be what it will be, and each person has the option to sign a contract for purchase if/when the time comes, or to walk away from their deposit. The signed agreement has no commitment on Elio's part. Whining about a missed price is just the same as whining about the missed production dates.

dead on the money .... well, almost dead on the money .... the off the mark part is it has become clear that some folks either didn't bother to read the reservation agreement, they read it and didn't understand it, or they read it and choose to conveniently make up their own terms

Perhaps that was the idea behind the PROMISED incentive....to balance out the final cost increase over the ANTICIPATED $6800. Reservationists certainly don't want to see EM lose money on the early reservation sales taking profit incentives away from the crowdsource funding investors. Most will be happy to simply get delivery on a vehicle.
