That's pretty cool. And I could see how the Elio could do something like that because of how the upper frame is made. An option of a partial rag-top would be easy and relatively inexpensive. It would give you all the benefits of a convertible without compromising the inherent safety of the upper roll cage. If Elio offers that it would be the only option I'd go for. Otherwise I suppose I'd have to settle for a sunroof.
Standing up from the back seat will make one an automatic TANK COMMANDER. Or at the very least the back seat driver from hell. LOL

Snipped: I'd like to think I've matured as I've aged, but Fran Tarkington is still a loser and the Vikequeens will never, ever win a Superbowl. So there.

Pretty base for us, manual, marshmallow, although we may add sunroof and pop-outs, last minute.
Probably buy a set of P3 fenders to pair with some cool retro wheels for cruisin'.
Don't want a sun roof but agree with you on the pop-out windows and the P3 fenders and wheels. Because my wife does not drive any vehicle with a stick shift I will be forced to get mine with an AMT.

Auto tranny and cruise are a must...I will probably also opt for the upgraded driver's seat and go for an audio system upgrade if they offer one...I know that crazy electronic screen device that replaces the standard dash gauges WILL NOT be one of my upgrades...
