Actually it's pretty specific, not that it's any easier to hear.

It's specifically lame because the future of the company rested a lot upon tomorrow, and to not proceed without the deep pockets witnessing it live, is silly,- EM could have given them a private show anytime this past month, send them the vid, There are more than one,2?, 3? Who, didn't know last week they had other stuff on their calendar. ????? no it's lame-

Now that the dust is settling a bit, why in G*d's name did he say anything else but "We're sorryThe demonstration has been delayed, more information forthcoming" Easy weesy- The reason EM gave is too lame

If I were Paul Elio and I'm (probably) not and I just decided to do a nice gesture like giving a heads up on the delay and then I come to this site and see dozens of pages of whining and complaining, I'd just shake my head. And I might think to myself, what a bunch of drama queens and that might be the last time a try to do a solid for my all ins.

My grandma didn't know she had something on her calendar but her death caused me to miss something important. I guess she was lame too, huh?

Unless the future of the company actually rests on those key stakeholders, I can't second guess behind the scene decision making, I can just reflect on what is.

I seem to remember Stuart Lichter announce after the delay meeting with the Parrish, that he had another overseas company coming to look at the GM plant in the beginning of February. I wonder if that would be this Friday.

trying to look at it from a logical point of view :

everyone who cared (EM and Paul Elio most of all) realizes the importance of good news coming from the coverage of the "official first start"

there is no way they would delay it unless they didn't have any alternative

the event has been planned and publicized for weeks if not months

the motor is reported to have come through the testing with flying colors

the test was called off at the last moment due to some one or some group who had a schedule conflict

from that it seems to me that either something important took place to keep one or more key personnel from being at the test or someone new who is seen as being critical to the process couldn't get there on short notice

either way, with the clock ticking, it shouldn't be long before the event is rescheduled
