stop being silly, many folks familiar with manufacturing and building vehicles delight over the minutia and intense explanations. of each part.

You take that back! It makes us sound like a bunch of stupid nerds arguing over who would win in a fair matchup -- Kirk or Picard! Of if you really COULD train dragons to let you fly them!

(Kirk, BTW. Picard might beat Kirk, but Kirk would get the hot alien chick. Or two. Definitely a win.)

I would rather he have said as we speak, right now, we are in the process of fabricating the engineered custom parts along with ordering in the supplier off the shelf parts required to build the E's.

This is purely idle speculation but.......
I wonder if they made spares of the specialized parts and are now having detailed drawings made from those templates??
It seems to me that might be the "detailing" that he speaks of.

Detailing parts in engineering terminology is along the lines that Rickb suggested. It's all of the steps necessary to take a preliminary design concept or prototype part and fully define the desired end state in a way that allows the design to be unambiguously interpreted by a part supplier and verifiable via inspection and documentation.
