I knew a woman who got rear-ended (around 1983) by a drunk driver. She was hit at about 35 mph and the whiplash threw her into the steering wheel so hard that she needed serious re-constructive surgery.
Seems like a good idea to me if all three go off in any "major" impact.

All three do go off in an impact. They explained that they were only showing the one in the simulation so you could see the interior still.

Average investment reservation about $3,849 now. I wonder how many of the 4,936 investment reservations are also Elio vehicle reservations (I'd guess 95% +). Assume it is 100%, then about 11% of vehicle reservation holders have ponied up to invest. It's interesting to see the power of the people, consider if every "all in" and "want in" vehicle reservation holder ponied up an additional $570, Elio would get their $25 million to build and test all the prototypes. If we all gave about $4500, Elio could go into production without any outside help. I know it is not for others, but sounds like a deal to me, if I could get this thing loaded for less than $15k.

I'm hoping this venture is a success, but my pessimist half tells me there are only about 50,000 people really interested in the product and when it goes to production it could be a total flop.

Nah, there's a ton of latent interest from what I've seen. Of my friends I'm the only person who's reserved or invested, but literally every one of them wants one as their next car, and my parents will have one as well. That's a good 6 sales where only one is reflected in any of the data right now. My friends just aren't the type to be able to drop $100+ on something they may not see for a year or two. As for selling their cars when the Elio becomes available and doing the gas savings financing, though, they're "all in" on that part.
