Nah, there's a ton of latent interest from what I've seen. Of my friends I'm the only person who's reserved or invested, but literally every one of them wants one as their next car, and my parents will have one as well. That's a good 6 sales where only one is reflected in any of the data right now. My friends just aren't the type to be able to drop $100+ on something they may not see for a year or two. As for selling their cars when the Elio becomes available and doing the gas savings financing, though, they're "all in" on that part.I'm hoping this venture is a success, but my pessimist half tells me there are only about 50,000 people really interested in the product and when it goes to production it could be a total flop.
