Toward the end of the video, going around some of those curves, I'd swear the body panels on the front corners scraped the ground. If not, they must have cleared by fractions of an inch.

The Solo is well beyond the test mule stage. They are simply track testing and tweaking the drive train and suspension prior to attaching body panels and interior finish. The Corbin Sparrow's production platform served as Solo's proof of concept, test mule, and production format model.Oh, so it's just the test mule still. I was hoping to see a finished car. Since the Solo is being built in small-batch production and set to go on sale in a couple weeks, I was kinda hoping to see the finished product on the track.
Electra Meccanica had a RSVP sneak preview unveiling...The Solo is well beyond the test mule stage. The Solo simply is a major Sparrow upgrade (Motor, Batteries, Body style, and interior make over) of the proven Corbin Sparrow production EV. EM's engineering and design team is simply track testing systems (at 70% capacity) on one of several completed drive train platforms. They are attaching body panels, completing the interior work and assembly of the other Solo's platforms currently being built in InterMeccanic'a manufacturing facilities for the September Solo reveal.
Elio Motors certainly could have tested the Elio's new engine and drivetrain for performance and handling prior to adding body panels and interior finish work. I wish they had. The SRK was tested for performance and handling in a similar manner identifying problems and addressing changes that needed to be made prior to building their Alpha Series SRK's for road testing miles leading up to the production SRK.
Different new startup vehicle business philosophies leading up to the same production goal.

The micro mini cars are going to make a comeback as Elio, SRK, and Solo three wheelers. All of these companies have the opportunity to produce a vehicle that becomes as successful as the VW Beetle....................my first car was a '59 Black VW.Since this thread is not about ELIO, I thought it a good place for this.
" On this day in 1959 the iconic ‘Mini’ car made its debut ... ‘truly a people’s car’. Here’s how Movietone reported on the launch."
The Mini ended up being a game changing vehicle in the U.K.
