Delay To 2017 And Beyond

I'm really starting to regret that I started this thread...

This rumor has been officially denied. But it wouldn't surprise me if the cars didn't roll out til 2017. I'm hoping for actual production by 12/16, and to get my car 2/17 -- and that's a hell of a long time to wait when you're turning 70 next week.

Yes, a hell of a long time to wait. Happy early 70th! I'm not far behind your 70.

I'm not overlly optimistic about a 2016 production (too much work), but this morning I noticed for the first time fine printing on the back of my Life is Good tee shirt: "Optimism can get you anywhere" under an image of Jake driving a car. Maybe it's a good sign!

With that said, I also have a Life is Crap Tee Shirt collection to balance life out.

do hope you have a good birthday .... from reading various post, it appears that there are several of us who have already turned 70 or on the verge of doing so .... for me, it will come in late December of 2016 .... I still hope to have an Elio in our driveway by then but Que Sera, Sera - whatever will be, will be .... doubt many of the young'uns will recall that one ..

Somebody actually posted a clip of DD singing that tune ... did you know that after she turned 35 or so it was actually in her contract that all closeups must be shot through scrims -- gauze over a lens reducing the sharpness of the image. SHE sure as hell didn't want to turn 70.
