Delay To 2017 And Beyond

I really hope he got his years wrong (production will not start in 2015 and 2016 is not etched in stone..)
I find it hard to believe (if 2016 is out) we haven't heard of this with all the interested people here...

If this delay is true I'm not surprised at all that we haven't heard about it before as it will curb interest and deposits.

THAT timeline is one I want to see. If they an actually do that, and it's not pie-in-the-sky, it means they have a genuine line on the money.

I like to screw with Stats to show they can be made to mean anything. Let's take Gender. All things being equal. In 1975, there were 15,706 male driver deaths and 3,642 female driver deaths. In 2013, those numbers were 10,927 male deaths and 4,600 female deaths.
Statistically speaking, male drivers deaths have lowered by 31% and female drivers have increased by 26%. The takeaway? Female drivers are getting worse while male drivers are getting better. (regardless to what that State Farm commercial says)

Actually, Stats lie all the time. There is almost certainly a much higher percentage of female drivers on the road than there were in 1975 so this statistic is really screwed up. However, this type of stuff happens all the time.

No. But can you fix a deer? They're a genuine menace where I live. (Not kidding, their numbers have exploded and they love our country roads).

This rumor has been officially denied. But it wouldn't surprise me if the cars didn't roll out til 2017. I'm hoping for actual production by 12/16, and to get my car 2/17 -- and that's a hell of a long time to wait when you're turning 70 next week.

Yes, a hell of a long time to wait. Happy early 70th! I'm not far behind your 70.

I'm not overlly optimistic about a 2016 production (too much work), but this morning I noticed for the first time fine printing on the back of my Life is Good tee shirt: "Optimism can get you anywhere" under an image of Jake driving a car. Maybe it's a good sign!

With that said, I also have a Life is Crap Tee Shirt collection to balance life out.

Deer, turkey and periodic moose hits are the issue in Maine. I'm more concerned with turkey hits to the windshield at interstate speed, not a lot of real estate to see through if the windshield takes a direct hit - this type of hits getting about as common as deer side hits.
