Latest rumor I heard from my brother in law in Dearborn (audio engineering division) is that FOMOCO has a "rush" on a 3 cylinder engine development..."and....and....something..." he never said and he can keep a secret.

I grew up 5 miles from Ford World Headquarters. Ford had the model T then 40 or so years the mustang now 50 years down the time line..

Could it be that hover car???

I would seriously doubt if the first 25 or 50 or even 100 cars that go down the line, will be for anything but training. These first cars may well never be sold, and I'm not so sure I would want mine from that group.

It's quite common to sell the units that ar built as the 'production performance qualification' runs. They will make a smaller set of operations qualifications cars to test and challenge their build procedures. These are the ones destined for a museum.

Moderator Comment: This is an Elio Motors discussion forum not a political discussion forum. The two may intersect at times however please try and stay on topic concentrating on how issues could relate to the Elio vehicle and Elio Motors

GoofyOne for President!!! :D

j/k! But I really like the internet's most level-headed moderator.

The one good thing we all share in common is EM.................and the Elio.

Any company or product I use has a life time customer when they do right .
I have been a Ruger customer for over 40 years HD 45 years Sears 40 years all have done right by me. When ELIO delivers what I have put 1000 down on , I will be in line for a second one. I see some rough going for ELIO, but I think they can pull it off.

Yep, I too am a loyal customer to a loyal company.........and hope to be a lifetime Elio customer. The sales and service experience both have to be positive out the gate..........sales is easy, but the follow up customer service experience is critical to EM's long term success. Reliability of the product ranks very high too! There is some pressure on Elio to have chosen the right Service Provider and monitor that very closely.
