I will not spend my cash on any foreign cars made by a foreign owned company. I do my best to buy no products that are made by a foreign owned company. My coffee pot is a Bunn.
I know parts on our Harley's are made in China. That is because No one makes them here anymore. My Union rep and most of the teachers here drive foreign made cars. I will not.
Come on ELIO get the darn thing on the road give America options.

I do know they are built in America by Americans, but perhaps the profit is foreign after paying USA Taxes.

the corporate profits most certainly go to Japan .... the salaries and local purchases have a major impact on the local economy and the lives of the workers

Japan...after paying billions in corporate taxes to the US Gov't. Not sure what the rate is right now, but I remember hearing it's the highest on the planet.

Many have posted the speculation of 1000, but in truth it can run anywhere from 400 to 1000 depending on the transmission they go with....

The "automatic" and the manual transmission will be the same. The manual transmission will be fitted with servos and controls to make it an automatic manual transmission. The overall unit and internals will be the same.
