Yesterday's game between Atlanta and Charlotte was one of the best games I've seen in a long time.
Atlanta was fired up and they kept that fire lit for the whole game.
Seeing the expressions on Fig Newton's face for the whole 2nd half shown that they were not facing a "roll over and die" team and had a fight on their hands. Way to go Atlanta!!! Kicking that ego-maniac's butt was what he needed.

Kind of like what the Ram's did to the Seagulls. :D :behindsofa:

I don't know who took the Seahawks captive, put on their uniforms and showed up on the field; they did not know how to play football.
They were down right terrible yesterday; now I will give them a little bit of credit, when you play another team and the Ref's it's really hard.
10 penalties for 86 yards? They were getting called for everything, and the Rams could do no wrong while I actually watched the game and counted at least 50 by the Rams; how many did they have for the whole game? 5
The weather didn't help either, it was pouring rain and 34 degrees; that's what made it really sloppy on the field.
The Seahawks didn't get their butts kicked; they handed them over to the Rams. One of the worst Seahawks games I've seen in a long time. :yield:

Speaking of Denver and Peyton Manning; I'm sure anyone that follows the news and sports has heard that Manning is reported to have been using HGH (Human Growth Hormone). This news was reported by Al Jazeera America. They broke the story, and every news channel here grabbed on to it.
Peyton comes on the news and denies ever taking HGH and is willing to prove it.

Later on, the real story comes out; Al Jazeera America had interviewed a pharmacist assistant in Indianapolis named Sly (he also only worked for the pharmacy for a couple of months (he's a "Yo Dude" kind of guy); he admitted he made up the whole thing for the reporter from Al Jazeera America for (get this) "the fun of it" and "just to see what kind of reporters they were". Al Jazeera America calls Peyton and starts questioning him about the HGH; Peyton hung up on them.
When the other US media people asked Al Jazeera America why they printed it they said "because Peyton Manning refused to answer any of our questions it must have been true". They never did any other fact finding or information discovery; they figured that's how it is in the middle East, it must also be like that here. OMG!! Can you believe this? Peyton is already rich and he's about to become a whole lot richer; "if you don't answer questions over the phone about something you know nothing about, it has to be true"

Saturday, Sunday and Monday games:

Was 38, Phi 24 - Kirk Cousins is simply on fire. He's had an amazing run of half a dozen games or so. This one? 31 of 46, 365 / 4 / 0 / 2 sacks. Kinda hard to lose when your QB has those numbers. Bradford threw 56 times, did 380 / 1 / 0 / 5 sacks, which is pretty good except for the sacks. Neither team ran the ball well, but Phi never tries to run the ball. Giving some props to receivers / tight ends: Jordan Reed for Was went 9 recs for 129 yds and 2 TDs, Zach Ertz for Phi went 13 catches for 122 yds. Phi lost in turnovers 2-0, but penalties were even. If you're an Eagles fan, there's not a lot of hope for the future. Was has clinched the NFC Least and will get to host a playoff game.

NE 20, NYJ 26 - Close game, back and forth, then into OT... and the Patriots win the coin toss! Wait...what? They'll defend a certain end and kick? Belichick gets a pass for doing this by many people, and yes he's done it before and won the OT game, but I dunno... what can happen is, well, what happened. A TD wins it, and the Jets got the TD. Brady was very avg: 231 / 1 / 1 / 2 sacks, and Fitzpatrick was excellent: 296 / 3 / 0 / 1 sack. Jets more than double the Pats rushing yardage. Brandon Marshall had a big game: 8 recs for 115 and 2 TDs. NE was 1-10 on 3rd down, wow... how did they get it to OT? One thing helped: Jets had 6 penalties and NE had 1. Pats have clinched a bye in first round of playoffs. Jets need to win and they are in as a wildcard.

GB 8, AZ 38 - Game was scoreless after the 1st qtr, but it was 17-0 at half, and 38-8 after 3 qtrs. The Cards defensive pass rush was incredible. Rodgers got more hits than an Elio website with a P5 video. He was sacked 8 times, and any NFL QB will have a bad day with that many sacks and extra hits. Palmer's numbers were a little better but he was only sacked twice. Both teams ran the ball well. GB lost in turnovers 4-2. AZ was much better on 3rd down. GB is in the playoffs, but they need to beat Minn next week to win their division. AZ is looking VERY tough to beat as they have clinched a first round bye.

Cle 13, KC 17 - A win is a win, even over the Browns. Cle beat KC in just about every statistic except points scored. Manziel was running all over the field and rushed for 108 yds. Alex Smith also ran well for the Chiefs, 54 yds. Cle ran for 232 yds! How do you lose a game like that? Well, you have a FG attempt blocked, you fail to get TDs when you're in the red zone, and you have 3 more penalties. Also, Manziel was 13 of 32 passing. Chiefs defense could not get off the field in the 2nd half, and held on for the win. KC is a wildcard at least. If they win next week and Den loses, KC will amazingly win the AFC West. But, if "ifs" were "fifths", we'd all be drunk. Cle will most likely get a top-3 draft pick. And most likely screw up that pick. Again.

Hou 34, Ten 6 - The Texans continue their roll, even with Weeden as their QB. Not much to say here. Hou will most likely be the AFC South champ, and host a playoff game.

Ind 18, Mia 12 - Both Whitehurst and Hasselbeck played for Ind, and didn't play too badly. Tannehill was slightly below avg for Mia, 329 / 0 / 1 / 6 sacks. Ind ran the ball slightly better. Mia lost in turnovers 1-0, and in penalties 9-6. The Colts need a long list of miracles to happen for them to beat out Hou for the division title. The Elio has a better chance of coming out in Dec. 2016...

SF 17, Det 32 - Stafford was amazing for the Lions: 301 / 2 / 0 / 2 sacks. Gabbert was pretty good for the 49ers: 225 / 2 / 0 / 3 sacks. SF ran the ball better, but they couldn't score in the 2nd half. SF lost in turnovers 1-0 and penalties 11-7. Det is 6-9.

Dal 6, Buf 16 - Dal hung in there as best they could, with lefty Kellen Moore at the helm. It was 9-6 after 3 qtrs, but Buf got a TD in the 4th. Buf rushed for 236 yds and nearly doubled the Cowboys' total. But is now 7-8.

Chi 26, TB 21 - Cutler was efficient, Winston was above avg. Bears ran for 70 more yds, won in turnovers 0-3 and was better on 3rd down; both teams are 6-9.

Car 13, Atl 20 - In another shocker like the NE game, the Panthers are upset by the Falcons. Cam was 142 / 0 / 0 / 2 sacks, but he did run for 46 yds and 1 TD. Ryan did pretty well: 306 / 1 / 0 / 2 sacks. Car doubled up on the rushing yards. However, the Falcons were really good on 3rd down, 9-15. Penalties and turnovers were even. Car has a first round bye, and Atl is 8-7 but out of the playoffs.

Pit 17, Bal 20 - Another shocker. Not sure what happened to the Stillers. Ben was below avg: 215 / 0 / 2 / 3 sacks. Pitt ran the ball well, but Bal ran it a little better. Mallet didn't hurt the Ravens, his team: 274 / 1 / 0 / 1 sack. Pitt lost in turnovers 2-0, and Balt was great on 3rd down (9-18). Bal was able to overcome losing in penalties somehow, 12-3. Pitt is on the outside looking in: they must win next week and have the Jets lose.

Jax 27, NO 38 - Saints led 24-6 at half, never looked back. Brees played with his torn plantar fascia and played amazingly well: 412 / 3 / 0 / 1 sack. Hightower for the Saints ran for 112 yds. Jax didn't try to run the ball. Bortles did pretty well, 368 / 4 / 2 / 2 sacks. Both teams were excellent on 3rd down, but Jax lost in turnovers 2-0 and had 3 more penalties. Saints are 6-9. Brees has said that he hopes both he and Payton stay with the Saints for 2016, but we shall see.

Stl 23, Sea 17 - In maybe the biggest upset of the day, the Rams were ahead 16-3 at half and went on to win in Seattle. Didn't see THAT coming. Somehow, the Rams won with only 103 yds passing and 104 yds rushing. Case Keenum didn't turn the ball over and Russell Wilson did. 'Hawks couldn't run the ball at all. Wilson's 39 yds was more than half of the 60 team yds. Both teams were good on 3rd down, but Sea lost in turnovers 3-0 and in penalties 10-5. Seattle has clinched a wildcard, and they look very beatable. Rams are 7-8.

NYG 17, Min 49 - An unexpected blowout... Eli was very bad, Bridgewater was efficient; the Vikes more than doubled the rush yards. The Giants converted one 3rd down and lost in turnovers 3-0. Minn can win the division next week if they beat the Packers.

Cin 17, Den 20 - A tale of two halves, the Bengals owned the first one and the Broncos owned the 2nd one. Den wins in OT, and secures a playoff bid. Give them credit, they dug deep and got it done. Osweiler played pretty well, 299 / 1 / 0 / 3. McCarron played above avg too, 200 / 1 / 0 / 2 sacks. But unfortunately, a shotgun snap in OT got away from him and game over. They can go up to 1st seed in the AFC with a win next week and a NE loss, and they can go all the way down to a wildcard if they lose and KC wins. Cin has clinched their division, and can get a first round bye if they win and get some help.
