Not so. I don't recall us discussing the color "yellow" before. Is it supposed to be lemon yellow, egg yolk yellow, sunshine yellow or ? And how do we get our cars with whitewall tires? (I understand they're coming back -- part of the "retro" craze.)
OHHHHHHH! I tend to differ. The Y color (I've taken an oath never to mention it again), has been thrown around-
AAMOF- when I spoke to Jerome, they will look at the first year color sales, and might drop the least chosen, and replace it with Y

White wall tire solution........a set of 4 providing for a convenient spare.

I thought the plan for the 100 originally was for them to serve as dealer demos for the various dealers to be set up around the country, for additional PR events so EM is not constantly shipping one prototype around the country, and for making demos and sales pitches to fleet owners, all of which can be considered as "for internal purposes."
That was the original idea.

Besides the vehicle design being unique, the sales/distribution system is very unique. I have never heard of this before. Is this plan of marshaling centers and stores with overnight delivery completely new and never existed anywhere in the world before?
I believe it's new to the automotive world, and is certainly new for any manufacturer aspiring to be a household name.

Another thing I noticed in Detroit was that the door liner under the "pocket" is very easily scuffed -- and the P5 was just about new when I saw it.
My '04 'Stang has a nicely done strip of carpet there.
I consistantly use my foot on it and it looks the same as the day I bought the car.

The only ground breaking single example is Tesla, for their leadership in having "company stores" as opposed to dealerships.
Right now, that's the only commonality - I still have trouble appreciating distance and unit numbers on the roads seems "challenging" with the centers about( 900 miles ?) between 'em. I defer to those more familiar with the process.

Pulling up to a store, test drive, ordering, with extras, financing, temp registrations, accepting delivery, AND getting your unit within 24 hrs a stretch. For those who might live a few hundred miles, it would seem necessary to stay overnight near the store

Seems too many miles between factory and centers, and too many miles to stores from centers.
I've learned the expression dead-ending which seems to only compound the issue
I think they've set themselves too high a goal. 2-day delivery, now that I can see. But tomorrow morning? There are too many things that can get in the way, from late transport due to highway or weather problems to parts shortages for some of the less frequent options, or for hard-to-install options.
Mind you, I hope these people can run their show on rails with never a hitch or glitch, but I think they'd be better off claiming 2-day deliver and if they get good at that, ramping up to next-day delivery. Just my opinion.
