Like I say, fix it. Fix it your way. Otherwise, yea, they WILL take your guns away.
I assume that is easier than getting your own 'guns for every person' country.
If you think it is fixed enough to hold the line here. Well then, I guess everything is OK.
But I see evidence it is not a static situation, no mater what you think about 'those guys'.

Anyway, I'm good, I just wanted to let you-all consider an issue. Trying to get the argument into a more productive corner is probably harder to do than just living in the dysfunctional one. So, I'm done.

If you haven't paid attention to the firearm industry in the last few months, you would know there are a ton of new (first time) firearm owners. Sure there are a bunch of Fudds who think it is okay to restrict what types of firearms should be owned, but there are many vocal people who continue to say how gun control laws don't work and the law abiding citizen is not the ones to be afraid of. Let liberty live and totalitarianism die. ;)

I've heard those don't feed terribly well. You'd be better off buying the Magpul D60.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm really not interested in hauling around 60 round mags, but I thought they were cool and that I'd pass them on.

on March 5th. 2021 my wife and I went on a guided tour of Bond Arms ===> https://www.bondarms.com/ .... we were the first ones to be taken on a tour since Covid hit last year .... I did take a few pictures that show a few stations also seen in the video below .... their factory is in a relatively small, completely nondescript building that our Garmin couldn't find .... I had to call once we got close and have them direct us in over the phone .... we were told the facility's isolation is by design, I didn't ask for details as to why ? .... they are understandably cautious about pictures being taken inside their production area, the ones taken below were OK'd prior to me taking them .... they have really outstanding staff .... mostly fairly young .... they have been working 6 days a week, mostly longer than 8 hour days in an effort to keep up with demand .... while they pay close attention to their work, the atmosphere is relaxed and the staff clearly enjoys working together .... so long as their suppliers keep up, they are turning out 320 derringers a day .... their redundant quality control is most impressive .... their solid barrels come in as seen in the first two pictures and they literally do the rest ....their laser milling and other machines are most impressive .... the tour included details on their history that are fascinating .... it also included info on their innovative safety and other engineering features that we found to be very interesting .... the assembly of their trigger mechanism was fascinating to watch .... speaking of demand, the orders that come in tomorrow will be back ordered to be produced in APRIL OF 2022 .... that doesn't mean you can't get one now .... they have several major distributors who keep standing bulk orders coming .... the trick is to buy from a dealer who gets his from one of those distributors .... frankly, a derringer isn't something I've ever had any interest in buying .... that changed yesterday .... with most of their models having an MSRP north of $500 I'd still not be interested .... but they have introduced a line known as the Roughneck (MSRP $269) ===> https://www.bondarms.com/Roughneck-P8514.aspx and another known as the Rowdy (MSRP $299) ===> https://www.bondarms.com/Rowdy-P8515.aspx .... both are made from exactly the same components as the higher priced lines .... the difference is the stainless isn't highly polished .... the difference comes from the labor required to produce them which is much less than .... one of their benefits is they can be thrown into a glove compartment or other places .... with my arthritic hands I'm interested in a Roughneck chambered for 38/357 .... there is no doubt one go well with our Henry BBS and Ruger GP 100's .... we already load light 38's which I believe with them a Roughneck would be fun to fire .... color us impressed, they have a most impressive product and organization

still haven't fired a shot but I have taken it apart several times .... I've switched barrels and grips several times .... I'm impressed with the barrel tolerances, they are tight and precision fit .... the various actions are growing smoother and smoother .... I suspect that will continue until the parts are completely broken in .... I've learned some interesting and unexpected things by reading the manual .... the felt recoil response will differ from barrel to barrel ..... the recoil from the bottom barrel is pretty much straight back .... the recoil from firing the top barrel results in considerably more barrel jump .... because of this there is an advantage to firing the bottom barrel first .... that being it makes it easier/quicker to get lined up for a followup shot .... with my arthritic right hand, I tend to believe the black rubber may be the best for me .... hopefully the rubber will absorb some of the recoil .... the large rosewood grips are really nice .... they provide a much firmer grip which has to help with recoil and sighting ....they provide a much firmer grip which has to help with recoil and sighting ... the negative thing is they increase the length the trigger finger must reach trigger .... the smaller red wood grips are nice, I really don't know what to expect from them .... the manual points out it is a close range firearm .... my current inclination is to work with it as a ''point and shooter" .... what I'm really looking forward to learning is how much difference there is between the impact point of each barrel at the ranges we will shoot ... that will come in time

while I'm not a fan of semiautomatic handguns, I find the technology built into the HALO Pistol IRL to be fascinating .... thanks for posting it
Get with the times! We've moved on from the yesteryear of muskets. I'm not knocking muskets at all either, they are great. I just prefer to be able to use modern technology.

Bond Derringer update .... while on the tour I asked about dry firing one of their derringers .... they handed me one that has been taken to many shows and has been dry fired untold thousands of times .... the actions of cocking, firing and opening the barrels were still fairly stiff but unbelievably smooth .... in short, dry firing is OK .... one of my concerns about buying a derringer was the arthritic stiffness and pain in my right hand .... at first cocking wasn't easy, nor was pulling the trigger .... finding a way to hold the grip so that my trigger finger is in place and the web of my thumb and first finger isn't pushing on the hammer when it is cocked took a while .... curling my little finger under the grip was painful at first, specially its knuckle joint .... I'm happy to say that working the action over and over and over and over has been good for both the Roughneck's action and my hand as well .... I hope to be able to run some light 38's through it in a couple of days .... time will tell
