Aufgeblassen,

Looked for a forum dedicated to the AYRO but found none. Maybe you’re not alone with this problem and maybe there are other chronic problems too. I’d consider starting a site..... did see your comments on a Motorcycle oriented site. They too think you have the patience of Job.

The only two years of production were 2018 and 2019 before it was discontinued (not sure when exactly). I believe mine was made in May, 2019, and was serial 000034, so there are very few of them out there!

Approaching around the 10th change of plan to get me back on the road, it seems!

Now the latest is that the dealer will exchange my defective Ayro 311 for another brand new one. They are working with Ayro Corporate (paperwork-wise) to make that happen. Apparently Registrations are in Ayro Corporate's name, so paperwork is a bit of a clusterfuck, as they are getting back the old unit returning to their custody. I'm extending my patience to this latest iteration to getting back on the road.

Under the circumstances, that is the very best outcome, other than a lot of lost time and frustration. Even a lawyer representing you would have most likely reached a similar settlement, so good for you.

You're way deep into that clusterfuck! :D I admire your patience even with all those excuses of swapped motor that "worked", to replacing a new motor, to sending your unit to the manufacturer, etc. the list just go on and on and now "exchanging" your lemon with a brand new lemon....errr I meant a new one! Kidding aside, here's hoping for a positive outcome of your experience. Your updates are much interesting that waiting for ELIO updates! ;)

Thanks for your interest!

Actually, there is no such thing as a lemon. Especially with only one known failure. I've done extensive product reliability testing and know. Products typically have early life failures during 1st year and under warranty. After that, smooth sailing until parts actually wear out, usually way down the road.

But if they are going to give you a new unit, is that a 4 wheeler? Since they aren't making the 3 wheeler any longer. Or is it going to be a new old model? Sense no makes to me..........
Or am I stirring a pot that shouldn't be stirred?
Not trying to start anything, I'm just asking for clarification, if it's out of place, I'm sorry and will remove the question.

You have a legit question Coss. I'm thinking he'll be getting an old stock unit that's been sitting at the dealer that hasn't been sold- the one where the loaner motor came from that they temporarily installed on his unit that the dealer claimed "it worked". I'm as confused as you are bud.

He mentioned earlier that they were only made in 2018 and 2019, so he would be getting an unsold one of those.

Grats on the replacement! Certainly the best outcome given the current situation, I think. Hopefully they can get through the paperwork soon and get you back on the road!
