if last night's Sprint Unlimited is any indication, next Sunday's Daytona 500 should be a wild one .... 25 cars were invited, 12 finished .... Jr finished 9th and Danica finished 10th .... Edwards didn't look bad in his new ride .... Tony was the first driver this season called in by NASCAR for a chat ...

I thought NASCAR said they are trying to help teams reduce owners expenses .... no telling how much money has been blown in wrecked race cars last night and in the first qualifying session .... I can see why so many drivers are unhappy

CONCORD, N.C. —Charlotte Motor Speedway sent three of its jet dryers to Concord Regional Airport to help dry off the runways so that local race teams can travel to Daytona.

Airport officials said more than a dozen flights scheduled to transport more than 700 NASCAR personnel are scheduled to leave over the next two days.

The jet dryers arrived at the airport around 12 p.m.

Chopper 9 flew over the scene Tuesday afternoon.
