I use a helmet mounted bluetooth enabled sound system while riding my motorcycle to listen to FM radio, stream music stored on my phone or over the internet, and take phone calls without having to remove my helmet. This system would allow me to do all that in the Elio.

By the way this system should also make satellite radio fans happy as all you would need is a bluetooth enabled portable satellite radio receiver.

It would not surprise me if we see something along those lines, likey with a smaller display to keep costs down, as Continental is designing the entire electrical system.

Good info goofyone! Odd Elio didn't choose Continental as the tire supplier as well? Who knows they could go that route if Continental gives a package deal.. I have a smart phone (iPhone 4) but would prefer to see a trip computer which seems to be standard these days so I know what my MPG, DTE, temperature, etc. is at a glance along with other info.. Have that in my Sentra and love it!

My guess is that there will be some kind of trip computer integrated into the instrument cluster that is separate from the entertainment system.

If this is standard equipment it will be awesome but I doubt it. As long as it isn't too much more ill buy it as an option.

I will be asking the Elio rep directly next week if they currently plan on including this radio standard or as an option. I will be getting this system either way however this very well could be a standard radio as the prices have dropped on this kind of system tremendously and it does not even have a CD player which could be an option.

I purchased a bluetooth radio kit for my motorcycle helmet at retail for under $100 and that was over a year ago. The helmet systems are usually more expensive as they have to be so small, waterproof, and include a battery and speakers. Knowing that I can only imagine how little something like this would cost right now when purchased in quantity direct from the manufacturer.

Don't really use CD's anyways I haven't bought one in years. One question you could ask for me. Is if it will have OBDII port. I would like to use my Ultra Gauge to see how much MPG I can squeeze out of it. I have a feeling with careful driving getting close to 100MPG could be done

I haven't purchased any CD's in years also. I currently listen to music almost entirely using Spotify or other online service either streamed over the internet or downloaded to my phone before I hit the road and all my vehicles support streaming music via bluetooth.

The OBDII port question is a very good one. I will add it to my growing list.
